Book Review: Call of a Coward

I recently read a great book. It was a quick read. Call of a Coward is written by Marcia Moston. This is a true story that happened to Marcia and her family. One day her husband came home from work and told her that he felt that God was calling them to pack up and move to a small remote Mayan Village in Guatemala. For Monica, living in the New Jersey Suburbs in a beautiful house and being comfortable where they were, this was life shattering, but she followed her husband (along with one of their daughters who was an elementary aged child).

Throughout their journey to Guatemala, they endured many situations that were jaw dropping. They kept trusting God. Hearing how much her faith was strengthened by this journey was amazing. It’s kind of like when you go on a mission trip and come back, your faith is strengthened.

Although they did not stay long in Guatemala, I think it was less than a total year, time was hard to tell in the book though. She had a great experience. They moved back to New Jersey, just to find that God was calling them to a small New England church (of 8 families total) and a very rural city. Once again Marcia trusted God and went where God was calling her and her husband.

I read this book because it seemed interesting, kind of like my life, I follow God’s calling for Pastor, where Pastor feels he is called, we will go forth!

It was a great and quick read.

**I received this book for free from BookSneeze.com for my honest review.
